Services — Website redesign

A website that loads fast, reads clearly andpasses an audit.

I redesign websites for purpose-driven organisations across Sydney — accessible to WCAG 2.1 AA, quick on a bad connection, and documented so your team can run it without me. Lean pages are a by-product: lighter sites are simply faster ones.

  • NSW SCM2701 prequalified
  • WCAG 2.1 AA guaranteed
  • Typically $5,000–$45,000

01 — When a redesign is necessary

Some problemscan't be patched.

I never recommend a redesign without a proper Diagnosis. But there are situations where structural limitations make a rebuild the only responsible path.

Accessibility gaps

Your site fails WCAG 2.1 AA — creating legal risk and excluding the people you exist to serve.

Structural SEO limitations

Your platform makes it technically impossible to implement proper search foundations.

Outdated infrastructure

Aging platforms, unmaintained plugins and security gaps that no amount of patching will fix.

Governance risk

No clear ownership, poor documentation, and processes that depend entirely on one person.

02 — What we build

Every redesignincludes.

  • Accessible architecture (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Clear service pathways and information hierarchy
  • Search foundations, technical SEO built in
  • Scalable performance and Core Web Vitals
  • Privacy-first forms and data handling
  • Governance-ready documentation and handover
  • Carbon-aware hosting guidance
  • Clear editorial workflows for your team
03 — Our process

A four-stageredesign approach.

Nothing gets touched before it's understood. Each stage ends with something you can read, review and take to a board.

  1. Discovery and Diagnosis

Every redesign begins with a Digital Capacity Diagnosis — understanding your current infrastructure, compliance gaps and operational needs before anything is touched.

  2. Architecture and accessibility design

Information architecture, accessibility framework and technical stack are designed before a line of code is written.

  3. Build and optimisation

Built to specification with accessibility, performance and sustainability baked in from the start — not bolted on at the end.

  4. Ongoing stewardship

After launch, Stewardship keeps it steady — security monitoring, compliance tracking and strategic guidance, so the investment holds its value.

05 — Common questions

Asked beforeevery redesign.

Something not answered here? Ask it in the twenty-minute chat — there's nothing to prepare.

How long does a website redesign take?

A typical redesign takes 8–16 weeks from Diagnosis to launch, depending on site complexity, content volume and stakeholder review. I'll scope it clearly after the initial Diagnosis.

Do you guarantee WCAG 2.1 AA compliance?

Yes. Every site I build meets WCAG 2.1 AA. Documentation confirming compliance is part of the handover package.

Are you on the NSW SCM2701 panel?

Yes — Marzipan is prequalified under the NSW Government SCM2701 Digital Experience Management scheme, which streamlines procurement for government-adjacent organisations.

Do we have to do the Diagnosis before a redesign?

I strongly recommend it. It prevents expensive mistakes and makes sure the redesign addresses your actual problems rather than assumed ones. The fee is credited in full toward your redesign.

What happens after launch?

The Stewardship Programme covers ongoing accountability — security monitoring, accessibility compliance tracking, performance optimisation and strategic guidance.
