01 — What we do

What we do forpurpose-led organisations.

Every service is shaped around what purpose-led organisations actually need, not a generic agency checklist.

  1. Search visibility audit

We map exactly where you're invisible: Google Business Profile gaps, indexation issues, keyword blindspots. Everything ranked by impact so you know what to fix first.

  2. Technical SEO foundations

Slow pages, broken schema, JS rendering issues. We identify and resolve the technical problems that quietly suppress your rankings, the ones most agencies miss.

  3. Content that earns authority

We don't manufacture keyword volume. We build genuine subject authority through content that serves the people your organisation exists to help. Google rewards that; your community does too.

  4. Local presence and Map Pack

Google Business Profile, local citations, suburb-level relevance. When someone nearby needs you, we make sure you appear.

  5. Google Ad Grant management

Nonprofits qualify for up to $10,000/month in free Google Ads. Most are either not using it or using it in ways that risk suspension. We manage the Grant correctly: setup, compliance and ongoing optimisation.

  6. Ongoing stewardship

SEO isn't a project you finish. We monitor rankings, update content, report in plain English, and stay accountable after the initial work is done.

02 — Why this matters

The cost ofbeing invisible.

Invisibility in search is not neutral. These are the specific ways it affects purpose-led organisations, and what I do about each one.

  • 01

The people who need you most can't find you

When someone searches "free legal help Sydney" or "mental health support Parramatta", your organisation needs to appear. Invisibility isn't neutral: it means someone in crisis finds someone less qualified, or finds nothing.

  • 02

    Commercial providers dominate search

In competitive urban markets like Sydney, commercial agencies with large budgets crowd out purpose-led organisations. Systematic SEO is the equaliser: strategic focus rather than financial muscle.

  • 03

    Technical issues suppress rankings silently

Wix JS rendering traps, broken schema, unverified Google Business Profiles. These issues are common, consequential and fixable, but only if someone finds them.

  • 04

Google Ad Grant suspension happens without warning

Accounts drift out of compliance and stop serving ads silently. Many organisations only notice when enquiries drop. Proper Grant management prevents this.

03 — How we work

How I work withpurpose-led organisations.

A small practice. I take on fewer clients so I can remain genuinely accountable to each one. Here is how it begins.

Digital Capacity Diagnosis

A structured review of your website, search presence, accessibility and digital operations. The output is a plain-English, board-ready document with prioritised recommendations. $1,500 + GST, no obligation to proceed further.

Digital Stewardship Programme

Most organisations move into an ongoing monthly retainer. I act as your outsourced digital director, handling search visibility, Google Ad Grant compliance, security and accessibility monitoring. Predictable cost, no project creep.

Quarterly reporting in plain English

I report quarterly. Your board doesn't need to understand Google Search Console to understand the reports: clear findings, risk ratings, recommended next steps.

04 — What clients say

What purpose-led organisations say aboutworking with us.

Not-for-Profit

Working with Marzipan Media was a great experience, especially for our not-for-profit community group. With our shoestring budget, we needed a website that was affordable but still welcoming, accessible, and effective — and Marzipan Media delivered exactly that. They took the time to understand who we are and who we support, creating a site that feels warm, inclusive, and easy to navigate. They also helped us improve our visibility online through smart content structure and search-friendly design. Since the new site launched, we've seen a steady increase in visitors and more people reaching out for support and information. Marzipan Media combined professionalism with genuine care for our mission, and it shows in the results. We're grateful for their help and would happily recommend them to other community organisations looking to help more people by strengthening their online presence.

Sanctuary BPD Carer Support Group

Legal Services

We've been working with Ben to improve our law practice's online and digital presence, and the experience has been outstanding. Ben is the owner of Marzipan, and that shows in the level of care, accountability, and consistency he brings to his work. He is refreshingly transparent about expectations, under-promises, and consistently over-delivers. His calm approach and genuine honesty are, sadly, a rarity in the digital agency space. We've seen material improvements in our organic SEO ranking and AI recommendations. We always feel well-informed and supported. I would highly recommend Ben to any business looking for reliable, ethical, and highly effective digital support.

06 — Common questions

Asked beforeevery engagement.

Do nonprofits qualify for the Google Ad Grant?

Yes. Registered nonprofits are eligible for up to $10,000/month in free Google Ads spend. Eligibility requires Google for Nonprofits registration, which I can assist with. I also manage ongoing Grant compliance to prevent suspension.

What's the difference between this and a standard SEO agency?

Most SEO agencies optimise for traffic volume. I optimise for discoverability in moments that matter: when someone in crisis is searching for help. The tactics overlap; the philosophy doesn't.

How much does a Digital Capacity Diagnosis cost?

$1,500 + GST. It covers your website's security, accessibility, performance and search visibility, delivered as a prioritised, plain-English action plan. The fee is credited in full toward any subsequent engagement.

We have a very small team and almost no budget. Can you still help?

Probably yes. I work specifically with organisations that have limited internal digital capacity. The Diagnosis is the right starting point: it tells you exactly what needs fixing and in what order, regardless of what you do next.

Do you work with organisations outside Sydney?

Yes. While I am Sydney-based, I work with organisations across Australia. I also work with nonprofits and charities, community legal centres, mental health organisations, and arts and culture organisations as part of the same stewardship model.
